Millinery courses and hat-making classes offered virtually.

The North American Millinery Group began with three ‘hat’ friends coming together to keep the beloved Millinery Meet-Up event alive during the pandemic and started offering virtual millinery classes.

Andrea Blohm, Patrycja Grzesznik, and Karen Morris, the founders of The North American Millinery Group, purchased the MMU brand in late 2018 and began planning for Millinery Meet-Up to be held in the fall of 2020. Due to 2020 being a year of many challenges and unknowns, Millinery Meet-Up was one of many events around the world that would be postponed. 

Wanting to continue to offer the quality and diversity of instructors and classes planned for MMU, The North American Millinery Group has since created The American Institute of Millinery Education. A virtual academy that allows subscribed students access to live instructors, classes and inspirational live sessions. Each month of our school year, we offer a fantastic selection of Millinery Classes and Hat Making Classes. Ever wanted to learn how to make that fascinator or block a felt hat – you are in the right place.  

The North American Millinery Group is excited to be able to offer quality education in both live and virtual environments. Millinery Meet-Up will continue in the fall of 2022 and The American Institute of Millinery Education will be a source of continuing education for millinery students of all levels.

The future of education and events for milliners in The United States is something that the North American Millinery Group is proud to represent and develop for the growing millinery community.
