A fun feather course to learn how to make feather fascinators and feather mounts, the skills are useful to incorporate into all types of millinery and can open up new design ideas.

In this workshop you will learn how to make a feather mount which can then be made into a fascinator or used as a trim on a hat, this versatile technique can be incorporated into many different designs and allow your work to take on a light and 3 dimensional feather effect. You will learn feather cutting techniques and how to work with the feathers to combine them to create a mount. We will also discuss how they can be incorporated into your millinery designs and look at a series of ways of attaching to both hats and to headbands or combs.

The session is suitable for all abilities from beginners to the world of millinery to the more advanced.

Beverley has been creating feather mounts for over 15 years, in her own personal millinery work but also designing feather mount ranges for millinery wholesalers.
